Our room was ok, but directly next to ice machine. Accommodations were good but no small fridge in the room for us to keep a few things we bought in town, cold.

we stayed her a few years ago and it seems like the property has gone downhill. Our AC/Heat unit didn't work in our room and one window was broken. We mentioned and they said they would fix but never did.

Do not get lower level rooms, as if you are in lower level rooms you will hear every single walking movements in the room above. We had big foot on two nights…got very limited sleep.
We would visit again, but would require only a top floor room.
The restaurant is TOP notch and the shining star of the Inn. All was wonderful here! 5 star food!
No refrigerators in rooms…until the last day, we saw one being delivered to another room. Was not offered at check in.
Brunch was available on Saturday and Sunday, but was not conveyed to us…or on the website. We were told Saturday morning at the office when we were trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast.

This was almost was a great experience. Love the furnishings and where it was headed. However the exterior sliding door lock was broken. The room door did not close well. We called down late when we discovered it and there was no answer. The toilet seat was loose and someone had not cleaned where the toilet met the seat for a long time. The glass shower door was loose and I was concerned it was coming down. It would not close. Oh and I killed a spider in the bed. If they were to get their act together, I would return. Room rate doesn’t reflect reality.

We went for my birthday and when we checked in the gave me a free bottle of wine. When we got to our room there bugs everywhere. We live in the woods back home and understand bugs will just find their way inside but there were bugs in the bed, the living room and worst of all in the bathroom. They were all over the sink/counter top, the shower and the floor. We called the desk and they sent someone to clean it and get us new sheets but we never got an “I’m sorry” and the cleaning lady never even told us she was done. She just walked out and left the door open. It also looked like someone had dumped some kind of blue cleaner on the tile in the shower and it stained it. The restaurant on site is absolutely delicious and the wait staff was the best we’ve ever had in a restaurant! We had a great dinner and experience and went back for breakfast the next morning and again were blown away by the service.

The Skyline Lodge is an older property that is on top of a ridge a couple of miles outside of Highlands. The property is quite beautiful It was extensively renovated and updated a couple of years ago. Our room was large and nicely decorated. the bathroom was a bit small but fine. The restaurant is very good. It is a little pricey, but consistent with other good restaurants in Highlands. The bar is small but OK. The bartender and servers are great. There are some nits. This property is noisy, which is surprising since it is by itself. It's almost like the contractor missed insulating the property properly during the extensive renovation. There are complementary ear plugs in the room, which is never a good sign. Breakfast is available at the restaurant (and it is quite good) only on Saturday and Sunday. That is really inconvenient since the hotel is not close to other options. A mini-fridge and a microwave in the room would have mitigated this, but were not provided.

I loved the lodge setting in the beautiful mountains! We were disappointed that the pool had green water that the kids wouldn't swim in. The chottub was Too hot and we even turned the heat down twice.
The food @ Altitudes was MAGNIFICENT!!!!

I love this property!! I love when my family and friends stay here when visiting me.
It has the perfect rustic mountain vibe. Beautiful quiet and serene views. Debra in the office was amazing for check in and any issues that could arise. My only hope is that this hotel makes a bit more of an effort. It could be a diamond in the rough. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is such a treasure to find these days! Reminds me fondly of a place my family went when I was young. It has everything you need and more. The food was excellent, people were super helpful and polite. It’s not modern, has a history but it is very comfortable and safe to me! I booked a return trip before I left.
