Sun Peaks Lodge
Excellent location in the Village. Nice spa (hot tub, steam room & sauna) and underground parking

Great location
The location was excellent. And the service was good though I think they're a bit short staffed. The room was not fancy but fine in all respects, we had a small kitchenette which we used. I'm tall so being on the top floor with a angled ceiling was a bit awkward in one room Overall of five out of five

2/10 Poor

There’s a reason they don’t offer cancellations.
There was a big storm, Hwy closures, and we were unable to go. No cancellations or refunds available.

We enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is situated in the middle of the cute ski village. The hotel itself is older, could use newer carpets, etc., but it is kept up well. The beds were comfy. It’s quite expensive for the age of it as we paid $360/night. The hot tub is indoor and small. We enjoyed our overall experience and not having to drive back to Kamloops after skiing, but I do have a few complaints. 1. Not the hotel’s fault but our neighbors were so loud until 2am. We called the front desk and they did go up and talk to them (complaint for the neighbors not the hotel). 2. Having to pay $15 to park for the night is kind of ridiculous. Not to mention it was really far from the hotel so what exactly are we paying for. 3. The initial front desk lady was nice, but when we called back to ask if I had left my Visa there they were defensive instead of helpful. All we were asking them to do was to check. Overall a good experience.

2/10 Poor

The hotel is extremely small and outdated. The underground parking has around 15 stalls, and unless you are driving a compact car, its door to door parking. Prepare yourself to be creative with your loading and unloading. The bathroom appeared to have been updated, which was probably the only good part. Otherwise, its an older building, the 2 queen room was small. Side stepping your roommates to walk around the room. At $380.00 for one night, plus $21.00 for one night of parking, I would rate this as the worst valued accomodations I've experienced. But that's Sun Peaks as a whole. I have stayed at 5 of the hotels up there. The Sun Peaks Lodge was for sure the worst out of the 5. However, the others are not far behind, they all seem to have never been updated since their original build. It really is an over priced and over hyped community. I live in Kamloops and I can’t understand the lure. Sun Peaks rivals Whistler's pricing, and its not even a comparison between the two communities.
