Fantastic location, staff were brilliant and very friendly. We are looking to return later in the year and hoping the update has reached the bedrooms, very clean and beds really comfy, but Breakfast choice was great

8/10 Very good

Overall the experience was great. Very welcoming staff, clean, nice breakfast, good service. The room needed a refurbishment. There was a strange odour in the room. Probably from old wood and mould. The carpet also needed changing. However, the bed was pretty good. The bathroom clean and organized. Free coffee, tea, biscuits and toiletries. All well. The shower system could be better. But it was not disappointing.

First Class Breakfast
The hotel is in an wonderful location, however the rooms are rather out dated, though clean, it was like going on holiday in the 1970’s. I must give praise for the breakfast, which was without doubt the best I have had in all my days away.

6/10 Good

Shabby chic
Disappointing stay - we asked for a 6am wake-up call and the call came through at 6.20. We contacted the hotel the previous day to check and found we had to pay £10 per day for parking - there was no mention of this when we originally booked. We also emphasised we needed an early breakfast and was assured it would be available for 7am. When we went down for breakfast the night porter kindly gave us tea and toast - there was no time for anything else because of our schedule. Our room could best be described as past its shabby chic best, although the bed was comfortable. Our room was also above the restaurant so we could hear the taped music until late.
