Fab location
The location of The Jewel is fabulous. One can walk everywhere. Room was nice though could have used new carpeting and armchair (stained) and at that price point, I would prefer the room to be done each day. Having said that, Hotel Staff was very helpful and made up for a lot of above.

Location is phenomenal. the second floor has a coffee maker you can use 24/7. I had to work from my room at midnight and it was great to have a fresh brewed coffee at midnight. Staff was friendly and professional. Our flight was early and we could store our luggage upon arrival, so we could visit the city without tracking our luggage all over NY. We loved the stay and it was priced reasonable

I will be back
I stay in New York quite a bit and I am familiar with other Hotels in the same are as the Jewel. I already know for a fact that I will be back there for my next stay. Parking was a bit of an issue, but it's New York you have to expect that. It's only a 4 min walk to the Parking Garage. Great 24 Hour Coffee Bar if you're addicted like me. Over all, couldn't have asked for more

March 2023 Stay
We had a wonderful stay at The Jewel. We arrived around 7am and the concierge was able to take our bags and allow us to freshen up in the lounge prior to our room being ready. We took advantage of this and then set out in the morning to walk around the city. We returned around 3:30pm to check-in and the process was very smooth. We had a corner room on the 7th floor which had a wonderful view of Radio City Music Hall. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We noted that the shower head flow was adequate, but could have been stronger. The "king bed" was two twins pushed together, and the split in the center was very noticeable while sleeping. That being said, the bed, sheets, and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. The location of the hotel was ideal for us. Right next to Rockefeller Center and within walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to do. We would gladly stay here again. I would probably ask for a higher room just to see a different view. Pic attached is looking west down 51st Street from our room.
