Room was clean but some windows would not close due to wooden frames rotting. Breakfast was freshly made and decent. Bar /restaurant did not open during staymaybe due to lack of customers.Shiva the manager /sole employee apart from cleaner was excellent could not have been more attentive,he was the breakfast cook aswell.Probably would not stay again and doubt hotel will survive too long without major investment

The manager seva absolutely makes this hotel , from The moment we opened the door to leaving , nothing was to much trouble , his breakfasts are cooked to order and to perfection. Hotel itself could do with some updating and the kitchen isn't open for evening meals , this is a hotel that's not in walking distance to any restaurants , seva recommend a Indian restaurant that could deliver and it was gorgeous, so make sure your prepared The hotel was perfect for us as we were on the motorbike and theres some beautiful roads and scenery Behind the hotel are some self contained cabins ( not part of the hotel ) and behind those is a beautiful area with a pond and picnic tables We would absolutely go back to this hotel Parking is at the side of the hotel , the hotel is up a tree lined drive way and not once did we worry about the bike.

The Coach House Otterburn

Room was comfortable & clean, but quite small. Lovely grounds & woodland to walk in or have picnics. Very good base to tour the National park

Cheap, but lots of small issues: Lock on room kept randomly beeping until I changed rooms Windows wouldn’t fully shut Tv remote not working Bedside lamps not working Main bedroom light flickering and buzzing Not that clean, particularly the bathroom View of a boarded up ruin of a hotel opposite But… nice and quiet at night A comfy bed Great parking

Do not book this hotel. I didn't stay had to find alternative accommodation. And no refund. Dirty and grubby and there is a dire need for maintenance inside and out.

Wipe your feet on the way out. If only some money had been spent on the hotel rooms rather than the signage. Not as advertised.

The bed was soft, one size. Personel was only one men, very kind. There is only breakfast, no dinner..For one or two nights is oke. You can walk in the park or in Notterburn self.

It advertised meals but only did breakfast and the hot water took 10 to 15 minutes to reach the shower which was not explained at the beginning of our stay. Bedside lamps not working. Two single beds pushed together to make a deluxe double bed with a hard ridge down the middle. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Poor

This could be a fantastic hotel but unfortunately the facilities are very lacking. This hotel doesn’t serve lunch or evening meals as they don’t have a chef yet. As this place is a bit out of the way it wasn’t what we were expecting. We had paid for 2 nights but left after 1. We booked a deluxe room with garden view. Deluxe it definitely was not. The shower cubicle had the previous guest hair on the walls. Not for us and we wouldn’t return. Could be a fabulous place. Hats off to the guy running the place who seems to be the receptionist, cleaner, barman & breakfast cook rolled into 1.

2/10 Poor

I rarely leave negative reviews for independent B&Bs, but this stay was extremely disappointing. The room I was allocated was not the room type I had booked. It was advertised as a double room but was actually two single beds pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap between them. The room itself had several maintenance issues. There was a bad smell coming from the drain, the TV lost signal for most of our stay, the blind was broken and permanently stuck open, and the ground-floor window was broken and could be opened from outside, creating a genuine security concern. What made the experience particularly frustrating was the complete lack of staff presence. I reported the issues on the first morning and was told someone would get back to me. Nobody ever did. No one inspected the room, offered an alternative, or even provided an update. In fact, staff were so absent that we only saw someone a couple of times during the entire stay. The whole place had a strange atmosphere because there was rarely anybody around. There is supposedly a bar and kitchen on site, but these might as well not exist if there is nobody available to serve guests or assist with problems. I appreciate that maintenance issues can happen, but ignoring guests when those issues are reported is not acceptable. The lack of customer service, combined with the poor condition of the room, meant this was not an enjoyable stay and certainly not good value for money.
