Very slow check in process even before the Covid-19 days. It’s even slower now.

Critical Review
I first off paid for a standard room, when i was checking in decided to upgrade to a room with a balcony on the 34 floor of the Chelsea Tower. What can i say about this room... First off great bed! 9.5 stars. This would be comparable to the Hard Rock Beds. I've been from shady motel's to high class hotels. The place had a tub and an individual shower. They had a mini bar fridge type thing. If you brought your own drinks check besides it, THEY HAVE A SECOND FRIDGE! (looks like a cabinet) The pool was normal being we spent time on the weekday. Right now you would need to wear a mask due to COVID-19 precautions throughout the casino. Casino games are expensive $10 min on craps, but what do you expect at a top ranked hotel, most likely would probably increase min to $15 at night. 2 T.V.'s, 1 Massive TV! Great Channels. Hooked up the playstation to it. Wi-Fi was alright, able to play GTA online but choppy / Rocket League worked well with no lag. Balcony always a plus (got the balcony with the view of Bellagio). Overall great hotel room. 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

irritating
If our trip could have gone wrong it did. upon check in I asked who I speak to about the daybed I had rented. No one knew anything about it or who to talk to or even where to begin. When we got to our room we could barely open the door, which became a problem through the stay... at one point I had stepped out of the room for a call and the door was so jammed I couldn’t open it even if I kicked it, a larger gentleman had to help me open it. This was quite scary as my 4 year old was in the room. I called for someone to please check on the door, twice, and not once did anyone come up. I only got “we will see who handles that” I had tried to call house keeping, with no luck either. As mentioned, we had rented a day bed. After finding out on my own where to go for this we reached the pool and began our check in, because no one had any knowledge before hand, we did not bring our personal belongings such as a credit card.. which we were then informed was mandatory to enter! Then remembered we could put it to our room. That day was particularly windy, we were informed they would NOT be shutting down the pool. As we were at the pool things got bad.. fast. A drink was set on the table (all our other drinks were on the floor so they wouldn’t knock over) as we were in the pool and when we got back it had knocked over due to the wind. Oh well had to pay for another. They also got our entire food order wrong.. we tried to call concierge after the pool shot down but they are closed on sat

A couple of hiccups but worth the stay
We had a great stay at the Cosmopolitan overall. There were a couple of hiccups that out a bit of a damper on a couple of moments, though. My partner’s ID was denied by a pit boss so we weren’t able to gamble or have drinks, even though he’s well over 21. Room service also forgot to deliver the dessert we had ordered (consequently for my partner’s birthday dinner) but they at least refunded the charge on that. That aside, the room was amazing (King Fountain Terrace). The bathroom was impeccable with a large soaking tub and huge walk-in shower. The living area was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Last but not least, the view was to die for. We spent hours on the balcony drinking mimosas, watching the fountain show, and just unplugging for a bit. Well worth the stay and would come back even given the couple of issues we had.

look at pictures, don’t let ratings fool U
Our impression was that our stay cosmopolitan Is going to be fancy and with many surprising details. But it was surprisingly typical. We had to pay additional 40$/per night to upgrade our room to one w/ Japanese tub which made it a bit fancy (and this only happened after I complained to Hotels.com) Pool is very small and medium quality. Don’t let ratings fool you, look at the pictures carefully
