Staff were very friendly Decent Breakfast Clean and comfortable room cosy bar and lounge

The hotel is located at the other part of Albufeira. Nice area. The hotel is very good, clean, has a parking spot and works are amazing nice. We love stayed here.

We had a nice room to begin with but it was on the main road. Sleep was impossible outside the hours of 12:30 - 5:30 AM. We were moved after 2 nights to an inferior room away from the main road. The room was smaller and not in nice condition - so did we get what we paid for? We had 2 nights of relative calm and then the room above was occupied. The first night was very noisy until 3:30 AM. Hotel staff did what they could but there was noise every night until we left. Noise carries poorly through to floors - this is not a quiet hotel. A bit irritating as we paid the full amount over 8 months in advance and our original request for a pool view was never met. So disappointed really. We also had to ask for the bedding to be stripped as it smelt of vomit or similar. By the way, we did not know until we arrived that Velamar is a budget hotel. The hotel advertises as such locally but Expedia was silent on it. So in summary, the hotel is OK but it’s not for us I’m afraid.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar area. Room was small but clean and had every required. Pool and pool area smaller than expected but again was nice

The Velamar was a delightful hotel to spend a few nights away at. The staff were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The pool, although small, was a bonus. I travelled with my daughter and requested a quieter room, which was exactly what we got. The breakfast was buffet-style and was plentiful with a wide range of food and drinks. We had an evening flight, and although we had to check out at midday, we were able to have our luggage stored securely and were able to use all of the facilities. I would certainly return to the Velamar in the future!

We enjoyed our time in Velamar, Portugal. Staff was cordial and friendly. Beds were amazing to sleep in and rooms were very clean. Would definitely be back here :) Thank you!!!

I have stayed here a few times - in fact this was my 3rd short stay this year. Too busy for me in August; breakfast very chaotic & pool too noisy with larger groups (this was the case in June also with very loud hen party) Not as relaxing ambience as usual. But overall it’s a fab little hotel
