For an old hotel - built in 1965 or something, it’s a refreshing stay and almost perfect for families. Super views of the ocean from just about any room. Rooms cleaned every day. Restaurant menu not super for kids - but their breakfast is 9.5 out of 10 for me. Would return.

Other than the great sea view, everything else was terrible. 1. We had very warm weather during our stay. Room was hot and air condition only bowing out warm air making the room even warmer. Reported the issue but was told that the AC was centrally controlled and was promised to turn it on asap but they never turned the AC on! 2. All towels were so old and “soiled” to touch. Other than 2 stationary liquid soap at the sink and shower, there’s nothing else provided. Very poorly equipped “resort”! 3. We tried several times calling room service to order some food but nobody answered the phone. I would not recommend this hotel!

This is an amazing paradiise on the beach which seems to be a surfers' cove. Breathtakingly beautiful ocean, nice large room and amazingly tasty dining options. Nice and helpful staff.Two points for the first time travellers. This hotel is not at a very isolated place (even though it is indeed nice and quiet), there are other dining and lunch options around the beach. Second, the hotel shuttle is overpriced; trip to the airport costs around 35 euros with Uber, whereas the shuttle lady charges 90 euros with her van. A trip to Sintra costs 9 euros with Uber whereas the shuttle lady charges 20 euros. Just know your options. Otherwise, this is an excellent place for a beautiful vacation. And the VIP perks were worthwhile.
