Too “boutique” for us
The bedroom had 4 light bulbs not working so was very dark. The washbasin was in the bedroom not the bathroom and there was insufficient light to shave. The wardrobe was so tall that we could not reach the rail to hang our clothes. The corridors in the hotel were so dark that it was hard to find your way around or read the room numbers. The car park was 150yards walk away but 1.8 miles to drive and the receptionist originally sent us to a car park that was inaccessible as the road it was on was closed by road works. In general the reception was not very helpful. However the position was good for exploring the old town and the rooftop pool and breakfast room were excellent.

Amazing spa. Really special. Staff generally helpful apart from when we asked how to get to Tabernas dessert to see film sets they basically said - Google it yourself. First bedroom was really large, kettle but rather dusty and noisy. We moved and second bedroom was smaller but cleaner although no kettle. Great location though on lovely square by castle and excellent tapas nearby.

The ancient baths are not so ancient but different temperature pools (all small and you have to pay for)….nothing wow about the place but the staff are great…

Aire time in Almeria
A very comfortable hotel in the historic centre of Almeria. Unusually it doesn't have a bar or lounge area so we had to explore the town while our room was being prepared. Also the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday but was excellent when we had dinner there and the area is full of tapas bars and other restaurants. The staff are all most friendly and helpful. It is well-known for the ancient baths which are a popular attraction but we didn't have chance to experience them.

This place was a disappointment. We thought we were going to get some awesome ancient bath experience. We arrived and nothing but a lukewarm rooftop pool and an offer of unwanted massage. The exterior is black, with black on black signage which together with its location makes it nearly impossible to see/find. In fact most of the building is black and simply finding your way in the hallways is, charitably, unique. Similarly reception is to be accomplished in the dark. Once you find them the rooms are large, interesting, have views, and comforts. Parking is freaky because if you leave the hotel to go to parking you might not find the hotel again. Howl. The rooftop booze machine stole 20 euros, staff was notified, but refund has not be accomplished. The key cards for each of our two rooms had to be returned because the didn’t work to start with or stopped working. The sole 2-4 person elevator is nowhere near sufficient. We did much stairs. It’s an interesting place though.
