Getting around is easiest on foot or bike, though metro buses connect to city centre LA and Hollywood.

Westwood
Westwood buzzes with collegiate energy, where UCLA's sprawling campus meets the charm of Westwood Village. Catch a basketball game at Pauley Pavilion, browse thought-provoking exhibits at the Hammer Museum, or catch a film at the historic Fox Theatre. Dining options range from casual student favourites to upscale restaurants along Wilshire Boulevard, with a notable concentration of Persian eateries. Though parking can be tricky, the area is wonderfully walkable with excellent bus connections to greater Los Angeles. Accommodation vary from luxury high-rises to boutique properties perfect for university visitors.

Koreatown
Koreatown serves up a feast for all your senses with Korean BBQ joints that sizzle late into the night. Karaoke lounges and traditional jjimjilbangs (Korean spas) keep the energy flowing 24/7. The iconic Wiltern Theatre anchors this cultural hotspot while Koreatown Plaza buzzes with shoppers hunting for authentic Korean goods. Korean American National Museum adds a dash of cultural depth to your visit. Dining options range from hole-in-the-wall gems to upscale Korean fusion spots where the kimchi never disappoints. Getting around is a breeze with two Metro stations—Wilshire-Western and Wilshire-Normandie—connecting you to city centre LA and beyond. Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX
"This property was very clean, welcoming, has great restaurants in the lobby and an awesome location for walking. The hotel has free airport shuttle serviceI to and from that runs every 20 minutes. I would definitely stay here again."
Hotel Angeleno
"Friendly staff, impecable room, great food, heated pool. Special thanks to the manager and assistant manager Natalie for all their help during our stay as well as Dominique at the front desk."
Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Century Boulevard
"Clean and relatively comfortable. Our room had the sink outside the bathroom, which some people might not like — not sure if it’s like that for other rooms. The lighting was not my favorite — hard to explain, but very fluorescent and both too bright and not bright enough at the same time. Room was very large, which was nice. Shuttle to LAX in the morning took forever, so that part wasn’t great. Staff were super friendly and professional. Hotel was serviceable and I’d stay again, but it’s not at the top of my list."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Los Angeles
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Los Angeles is during January, November, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For an enriching experience exploring the city's key landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During your visit, you can enjoy a vibrant mix of theatre, live music, entertainment venues, museums, stunning architecture, and art galleries, all of which offer great value for money. This timeframe may also allow you to take advantage of more affordable options as prices could drop further.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Los Angeles on Hotels.com, you may start by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you're more likely to see discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for updates on flash sales and special promotions, helping you secure good accommodation deals. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re informed about any price drops or available rooms for your spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your accommodation in a Los Angeles hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll recommend more affordable dates, which may help you get a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Los Angeles’s fantastic public transport options, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there’s often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
