Imani Country House, Evora, Portugal

Beautiful estate, very well decorated. The rooms are big and comfortable. The area is remote and therefore ideal when looking for some quiet time. The service is impeccable and the staff put a lot of attention to detail. You really feel well taken care of. Great experience overall

We stayed here last minute whilst visiting various neolithic sites, the largest of which is very close to the hotel. We subsequently altered our plans and stayed another night to have more time to enjoy the hotel since it exceeded our expectations! The hotel as a country house has only 7 rooms, thus it is never overcrowded. There are 3 pools, the staff are friendly and very considerate of its guests. It's as close to a private villa as we have experienced, with the bonus of not needing to cook! The grounds are quite beautiful. Given the proximity to the cromlech circle we had two trips there, one at night when no one else was around, very enjoyable! Breakfast was good and ultimately we would return.

This place is absolutely amazing. It is a bit out of the way from the city of Evora, so if you're looking to be close to the city, this isn't your place. That said, it's within walking distance of neolithic ruins, and it's such a beautiful property that you'd be wasting your visit to leave it at all. The sprawling grounds are absolutely gorgeous to wander day or night -- a beautiful place to eat and drink and relax and stargaze. Great staff, too.

We were looked after so well by the friendliest staff. From making us a meal when we arrived late to taking the time to help us with any questions about the area, best places to visit and teaching us Portuguese nothing was too much trouble for them. A beautiful quiet area with a pool and gorgeous views and orange trees. I highly recommend it.
