Beautiful and quiet area
We loved the room and the upgrade we wee given since the place was almost empty. The restaurant did not serve dinner even though we asked earlier in the day.

Small but very nice
The hotel is very nice and well kept, but the rooms are very small. We had 5 people in a room with one double bed and 3 singles. The beds were packed together to fit in. If there had only been 2 of us in the double bed, the room may not have felt so small. Even with the small room, our stay was enjoyable. The bathroom seemed brand new with updated, modern fixtures. Great for a night on the way to your final destination.

Nice with character
The hotel is situated at the "top" of the town with mountain views in all directions and still within easy walking distance of the town center. Rooms were larger than many we had seen. Beds weren't the best but the bathroom was well-appointed. The staff was very courteous and helpful throughout the stay. They still use skeleton keys on the doors and guests are asked to hang their keys on a wallboard when not in their room (a little too quaint for me but interesting as a practice from long ago). Not a 5-star but comfortable with a lot of character and reasonably priced - nice out-of-the-way place deep in wine country!

Small rooms, difficult to find
Booked for 3 adults (5weeks European family vaction) Staying in hotels.com hotels every night. Booked Family suite. Suite consisted of 2 small rooms and bathroom. Bedroom small with double bed and other room had small fold out lounge with table big enough for 2 only. Described as free WiFi, Internet. Did not work in upper floors and had to take computer down to bar to book next nights accomodation, not to mention all the restrictions on internet, prior to conectiong you have to ring reception so they can press a button, if it drops out you have to ring again ect... the worst experience with internet in 4 weeks travel. Breaky not included so we skipped that. Bathroom ok. Hotel out of the way and without nav assistance difficult to find. We would not recomend this hotel to 3 adults or family travilling. The hotel is on a slope with the parking down the hill diffuclt to get bags up carpark steps than up hotel steps than up three flights of stairs.The owner however is very friendly and helpfull but this did not make up for major probs with internet and small room.
