Nice, but taller travellers beware
Short stay, excellent service from staff - knowledgable about area & activities/restaurants/etc nearby. Amenities very clean. Neighbourhood isn't the nicest area, but VERY close to a lot of awesome areas (chinatown/little italy/greenwich village). I never felt unsafe here, but there were a few homeless people loitering around nearby at all hours of day & night - but you get that in most places around NYC. Website doesn't quite make it clear what is on offer here though: - "rooms" are more like cubicles - not fully enclosed, private, but sound travels. - single room I had (it looked like double rooms were a bit bigger) had short bed, wall to wall about 6' - taller travellers be aware of this. With that said, I personally would stay here again.

hostel. very open and shared space.
thought it would be more of a hotel for the price and description. was more of a hostel. shared bathrooms with the whole floor. no ceilings in the rooms.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - HORRIBLE NIGHT STAFF
Reported water on floor in bathroom (shared) from toilet - eww, which fell on deaf ears, which of course in the next 45 minutes, I took a shower and then wiped out and fell on marble floor of bathroom which then I then reported as I hurt my knee-which proceeded to swell,

not worth the cost
the toilet doesn't flush. The noise is pretty loud. Every time someone open and close the door, it sounds like it's just next to you.....
