Arrived a bit late at the hotel after a long bicycle ride - the hotel is very convenient to a major bicycle path near Lake Mercier. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodated my poor French speaking with much better English. Was able to get a table at the restaurant and the server was quick to give us her attention despite a much busier than usual weekend due to the warm weather. Enjoyed a nice meal - caesar salad, an Bison burger - both nicely prepared with fresh cut french fries. The room itself was nothing special, a bit small but that reflects its history as a hotel built for railway employees over 100 years ago - they didn't get 5 star treatment - and the shower / bathroom was nicely upgraded. And, we were allowed to carry our bikes to our room - even though they provided bike racks and an option to store them behind the kitchen.

I liked the location, cafe and restaurants over there. It was clean but the towels and blankets are not very clean. It can be very better as a matter of cleanliness.
