Nice location and room, poor service.
Conveniently located, nice hotel with helpful staff. The main concern is we had to ask about the broken heater in the room three times, and after all that we were given a space heater. The final billed amount was higher than expected as well.

Great place to stay for a weekend away
Excellent standard for such an inexpensive hostel! Comfy beds, plenty of room for two people. Very clean and tidy also, and friendly staff working here too! Would highly recommend 💯

Pleasant hotel, great location
Overall, this hotel was pleasant and the location was close to restaurants and other venues. It was near Leidseplein station so easy to navigate from the airport as well as other areas in Amsterdam. The bed was soft and fairly comfortable, there is only one pillow per person and it is two single beds pushed up together so wasn't too thrilled about that part. The window was good to have to open and get some fresh air. The bathroom was nice and the Wi-Fi works great so that was good. One aspect I was not thrilled about that caught me off guard was the fact that I was charged 40 euro more than the total amount advertised on Hotels.com. I understand there is usually a tourist tax and read the fine print for that (3 euro per person per day) so for three nights, that would've been 18 euro. The remainder of that, is somehow more tax that was never advertised in the fine print description. This should be updated on the website. Regardless, the receptionist was friendly and pleasant.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms small and beds but very comfortable clean and fresh towels sheets everyday. Very central to centre with trans nearby. Safe friendly area.

Nice and comfortable stay
My family and I stayed in the "Family Comfort Room" for 4. Overall, the room was spacious, clean, comfortable and the hotel is in a very central location. One drawback is that there are no elevators so depending on where your room is located you will have to carry your suitcase up and down multiple stairs. Our room was locate in the basement and there was zero cellphone service which is not the hotels fault but the hotel Wifi did not work during the entire stay so we were completely uncommunicated. Beware that you cannot count on the Wifi during you stay. Lastly, the housekeeping is very basic, they only made up beds. No change of towels and they didn’t even replace the glassware we used for coffee.

Hotel ceiling falling onto myself
The ceiling in the bathroom fell down hanging within 2 hours of us arriving, reported this to the main desk in which they said nobody was available to fix it and it would be in the next 24 hours. In those 24 hours the piece of ceiling fell down onto myself whilst in the bathroom causing a cut to my lover back as well as there being screws exposed, I had also asked to change rooms due to the strong overpowering stench of cigarettes however there was no room available until the following day which by this point would have been too late as we had to keep the window and door open whilst in the hotel to try to air out the smell. If these problems hadn’t occurred we would have stayed here again as the staff were pleasant however I don’t believe this is acceptable and little sympathy or apology was given when we expressed these views.

Good location, basic hotel
The best part is the location and i wanted to stay in a hotel with more character ( not a generic chain) Pretty good location, near city center, an easy walk but removed from the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself is pretty basic, a tiny bathroom sink that causes you to splatter everywhere when you wash your face, shower with good temperature and pressure , Basic twin bed. The front desk personnel were reasonably helpful when i requested a change of rooms (original room in basement , felt damp, dark, tiny window facing a wet ally and felt moldy) I was moved pretty quickly to a room in 2nd floor - bigger, better light. Still no ventilation) I called the front desk at 9pm with a question about a non working TV and the staff was very nice and tried to resolve the issue right away, no complaints there. Overall i would probably stay elsewhere next time.
