Pretty solid stay
It was pretty good since my buddies and I got our own room (4 people, two bunk beds). But I can imagine it being a nightmare sharing since they only gave us ONE key. The local area is ok, not much around except a few convenience stores; and the nearest station is a 10 min walk. The staff were nice, but don't speak english. They also basically didn't interact with us past the check-in and check-out. Otherwise, most of the place was superbly cleaned every day.

Enjoyed my stay
Great price for a private room with shared bathroom and shower on lady's floor.

Compact but high quality
I booked a single room for an overnight stay before going to the airport. The owner Keiko-san could speak English fluently, she proactively suggested everything nearby, things to do, the best way to get to the airport, etc. The room was compact but with all the essential accessories inside. The shared toilet and bathrooms were very clean and tidy. If you want to get a feel of local Japanese lifestyle, it's a good place to walk around too, local supermarket, local restaurant, etc. What a great experience!

Top notch!
For a hostel style hotel (shared bathroom/shower), it was a top notch facility. Everything was in order and clean. Definitely, I plan to return.
