4/10 Fair

This is a place with potential. I’d describe it as “not ready to open, but in six months it might be great.” Certainly do not pay 5* prices. We paid the equivalent of $750 a night (5000 mad), and I wouldn’t have paid more $250 for what we recd.
The rooms are new, but the resort overall feels like lipstick on a pig: mismatched carpet seams (many laughable construction issues), unfinished areas, and construction still underway. Our first room had electrical issues; even after reporting it, nothing was done until a second night of the same problem and us insisting on a move. The new room was accessible, but the bathroom flooded every time we showered, with nowhere to store dry towels except the toilet or sink. Room had same electrical issues.
Amenities weren’t ready either…courts closed, one large pool surrounded by construction, workers still installing pool showers. Breakfast choices were minimal compared to other buffets, and hot items ran out for long stretches; I never once got scrambled eggs in five days. I tried.
To top it off, billing was a mess (two stays got linked), and they had our airport driver bring us back mid-trip to “settle up,” only to call as we pulled up outside to say it could’ve been done electronically after all.
I did raise these issues with the GM, who offered to meet and discuss…a kind gesture but weird, not really what I wanted to spend vacation time on when I’d already written it all out.
The one genuinely great part of the stay was the staff.
