Poor 2.0
Rude and accusatory manager/owner
Awful stay. Ruined the last night of a three day stay in Edinburgh which was a Christmas present for my partner. My credit card was stolen while on vacation from home in Canada. So the remaining 50% of the booking couldn’t be made on it. The owner locked us out one evening accusing us of trying to leave without full payment. I had to abandon plans to find wifi while out for dinner and send over new details before 10pm or be locked out for the night. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and was really mouldy. Everything else was fine in the apartment.

Perfect Location
What a lovely apartment. Communications with Marc of VIP Apartments was excellent with assistance gyivemn to ourlate check-in and one enquiry which was made and dealt with super-quick despite being New Year's eve. The location was within walking distance to all of our city centre attractions and also had a handy little Sainsburys a stone's throw from the block exit door. I do recommend very highly and have this property on our list for our next vist tyo Edinburgh.

Got it all!
The view from this centrally located apartment was fantastic! City and Nature, University and Cathedral ... with plenty of window and the ability to open them wide, we felt a part of Edinburgh. We spread out in the spacious accommodations and thoroughly enjoyed having the comforts of home available: a full kitchen, refrigerator and washer/dryer.

Wow!
Wow! Usually I stay at chain hotels, but this time I had extended family with me so needed something large and practical for the grandparents and kids to spend time together. Went for the luxury apartment with 3 double bedrooms + 3 bathrooms (no fighting in the mornings!) and was totally blown away. The penthouse was spacious and the bedrooms/lounge had great views; even saw fireworks every night we stayed. There's a Starbucks, supermarket (we had a fully fitted kitchen that came in handy) and restaurants immediately downstairs. The parking lot (at -2) is directly under the apartment so the lift took us directly up to the apartment (parking was £10 per day including multiple entries, much better than many hotels in the city). Great location for the university and city with everything within walking distance. Felt safe and secure at all times as there is only fob access to the building/car park. Had a great relaxing time with the family entertained with superfast WiFi for kids and big telly for the grandparents when not doing the tourist thing. Definitely recommend - if not staying, to buy one of these apartments :)

Very good 8.0
Good location for the fringe and the University.
I choose this apartment based on its central location for the fringe festival and the location did not disappoint. I was expecting a king bed but ended up with a double which may have been due to the manager moving us to a new duplex which he said was an upgrade at the last minute. The apartment size was probably bigger in the living area but the bedroom above was small with a double bed. The mattress could have been a little softer for my preference but in the end we were so tired it didn’t keep me from sleeping. The area is quiet and right on the edge of the University’s campus. There are a couple of cafes and a small supermarket right across the road.

Nice property but customer service issues
Our family really enjoyed the property, as it was comfortable for our family of four, and really quite convenient to all the major sites in central Edinburgh. The local area includes smart shops and cafes, and being next to the meadows made a morning jog easy. Our main displeasure came in terms of interacting with the host Marc regarding the parking pass. Despite reserving six months in advance, there was no parking pass when we arrived, which resulted in a lot of difficulties. Moreover, the tone of Marc's communications were rather aggressive. In addition, the actual space in the apartment is somewhat less than that implied in many of the advertised photos. Overall, though, we would recommend the apartments.
