Must stay hotel
A stylish hotel that has considered all the details. Service was excellent and the rooftop bar was an added bonus to have for a late nightcap.

excellent option in Midtown
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. This is actually my second time staying here over the past couple years and both occasions overperformed. The rooms are nice, albeit on the small side. The service is superb. I really liked the shampoo, lotions, etc. The only downside is that given the rooftop bar, getting one of the elevators takes time often. They try to ensure that all the rooftop bar traffic takes just one of the elevators, but I am not sure they are 100% successful. Overall, probably among the best value-for-money options in Midtown.

Good 6.0
The overall stay at the hotel was very good, but I would recommend you carefully watch your credit card charges. They have way overcharged my stay and although they are being polite about it, they have yet to fix the problem 4 days later.

Penn station / msg invite a super low end demo
Hotel check in haggled extensively with me over the two hour late check out promised me by the VIP silver rate i purchased. First it was an hour then half day rate for the next hour. Then it needed manager involvement. Then no more info. Then my room key couldn’t be made because the cleaning inspection hadn’t occurred. Others were checked in and keys made. I checked in 5 min before 3pm. Then check in rushed me away from the desk. 5 min after 3pm after waiting in a busy lobby corner i got a different person to generate my room key. Get back at 11pm, by 1130 there were four drunk girls fighting in the hallway and their room — cat a corner from my in the hall, not even next door. After an hour of screeching and slurred shrieking i called the front desk and asked them to send up security, which took 2 additional redials and 20 plus rings to actually get someone to answer. After a second check by security an hour later the screaming and fighting subsided. I got two hours of sleep before a busy day of business meetings. The finishes of the hotel and the lobby are quite nice and the rooms have a good size. If you want to stay in a dumpy neighborhood around drunk Rangers fans you can get a nice room here. Bad choice for business travelers.
