The hotel staffs definitely need more training.
I’m satisfied with quality of the room. But to be honest, I have to say the hotel staffs are very unprofessional and impolite. When I was trying to have lunch at its restaurant, one staff who served me could only speak Spanish. So I asked another female staff who can speak both Spanish and English to translate to make sure I can order “complimentary menu” since my plan included complimentary breakfast. She told me as long as I choose from the complimentary menu list (There was two menu lists. One was for complimentary, and another was for charge), it doesn’t cost since it is covered by my plan. I ordered two meals from the menu. However, after I finished the meal, they charged me. Even I explained and pointed out her mistake, she didn’t admit and finally made me pay for it. Rather than a sincere apologies, they tried to give us a discount that was equivalent to 2USD. What I wanted was sincere apologies for the miscommunication but they tried to solve the issue with discount without saying sorry. Another thing was with the airport shuttle. While they charged me 25USD under my room for a pick-up service from the airport to the hotel, what they told me when I left the hotel was that it actually costs only 75 in Bolivian Currency, which is equivalent to 11-12USD. While I have traveled and stayed so many hotels in my life, I’ve never seen such impolite and unprofessional hotel staffs who cheat on customers. Everything I wrote is true, not adding 1% of fiction.

Great Location and Comfortable Room
After two weeks of traveling in Peru and Bolivia we chose to stay at Stannum Boutique Hotel & Spa based on the reviews of travelers and the amenities it provided. Overall the stay was worth the value. We stayed one night and then took a 2-day trip to Uyuni before returning for two more nights to conclude our trip. The receptionists on both stays were helpful, and allowed us to leave our large bags there for the two days we were in Uyuni. The room was comfortable with a nice mattress and linens. They provided a complimentary drink upon check-in with chocolates in our room. On the first stay our room was on the main road and was quite noisy during the weekend with the traffic. We asked for a room on the other side of the hotel and they obliged. It was smaller but we were grateful they accommodated our request. We ordered room service twice during our stay. The first night was excellent. The food was great and service was quick. The second night was not great. The food was average at best, the service slow and one item was left off. When we called and inquired they brought it but still was not correct. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting La Paz. It was in a great location and a welcome break after the 3-star hotels in Peru.

Stylish, relaxing and comfortable
The hotel location is situated perfectly and has a mall downstairs with a variety of restaurants to choose from, a flight shop and cinema and everything you could possibly need. It is within easy walking distance from a lot of the main sights in town: The Witches Market, San Francisco plaza and museum and Plaza Murillo. The hotel room was clean and comfortable with everything you needed and the views across the city and mountains spectacular. It was a very trendy hotel. The breakfasts are amazing!! It allows you to eat well so you don't need lunch later. The restaurant food was also exceptional. I ate there two nights because it was so good. The Spa was relaxing and I can recommend a full body massage and the facial. I spent a few days there alone and felt very safe and well looked after. My partner eventually joined me and agreed that is was a fantastic hotel for couples too. Finally, the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We had a few problems with a trip to the jungle that we had booked due to cancelled flights and the reception staff went above the call of duty to help us try to resolve the issues and made some phone calls on our behalf.

Right choice
Nice hotel. Nice staff. Best location to go to the US Embassy. The hotel is located in the 5th floor of a building. In the ground floor there’s a food court and movies. Easy to get a taxi or trufi anywhere. It is also near one of the sky tram stops which was nice. They give you a free welcome drink and free welcome chocolates. Check out time was at noon, but if you have a later flight the receptionist can keep your luggage for free if you need to go somewhere after you check out; I really appreciated this. I would suggest to just take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the shuttle the hotel provides is much more expensive, and it seems like they forgot to send the shuttle for me, so I ended up taking a taxi, which is ok because I saved some money. You can also tell your taxi driver when’s you are leaving and they can schedule to come get you from the hotel.

Great staff and very nice hotel!
So many good things to say about this place. We had our original flight canceled due to the airline we were flying. The hotel was understanding and switched our reservation to another night for free. They let us have a room just for the day once we got there to rest and relax before we took a 3 day tour in the Uyuni Salt Flats and even let us leave some of our luggage there until we came back. Once we came back at 6am they say how exhausted we were and got a room clean and ready for us by 8:30am to check-in early. Everyone speaks good English and are very nice. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and has a nice restaraunt attached to it that is decently priced. Roberto the bellhop was super helpful and always had a smile on his face. Great place to stay, would definitely recommended!
