Mexico City and Hotel Astor are Safe and Beautiful
Our 8 night stay at Hotel Astor was absolutely amazing! They are very helpful and very accommodative with the english language which was unexpected. It came with a wonderful breakfast that was complimentary. The cleaning crew is very professional and never touched any of my electronics or valuable goods that were left out. I highly recommend day trips from Astor to 1: Teotihuacan "3rd largest pyramid in the world" 2: Cholula in Puebla "Largest pyramid in the world" 3: Tula "Long forgotten pyramid that has a very fascinating history". 4: MOST IMPORTANT: Hire Albert, one of the drivers at Hotel Astor. He is very well priced and will take very good care of you. We had several good drivers from Astor, But Albert was the one to recommend. The area feels very safe as an outsider who was nervous to visit.

Hotel was good, a good place. Only complaint was the breakfast staff especially the two older waiters. we thought we were getting continental breakfast, at least that's what it said on or booking, however we were informed that this is wrong and we get American breakfast. The waiter was even blunter,'EGGS' and what that is it, yes EGGS and when we asked for it to be well done we got you guessed it runny, sent it back came back runny, oh and then they had a party come in so instead of asking politely for us to move they proceeded to block us off into the corner.
