2/10 Poor

We had the worst service and experience at Gurneys. The hotel and service was terrible. Took over two hours to get a drink and food by their beach area. Room service got our food order wrong twice. Numerous things in the room were broken or falling apart. The hotel was busy hosting outsiders for beach parties instead of hotel guest who are paying 2k a night. The property was not pleasant to be at. The entire reason we picked a full service hotel was to have service which we had to beg for things and wait ridiculous amounts of time. I was a fan of this property in the past but it’s not the same anymore. The priority of the property has switched and it’s really gone downhill. I would not recommend to anyone right now and I truly regret picking this property and spending my money here.

10/10 Exceptional

It was my first visit to Montauk and I loved the location. We were oceanfront w a short walk to the beach. The view and balcony was incredible. The front desk, room service, and valet staff were excellent. Pet friendly. The restaurant was delicious. Very happy to have stayed there and looking forward to returning next year.

2/10 Poor

I paid over $900 for a room that offered loud noisy construction, barely any view of the ocean due to all the plants blocking any sliver of a view. The floors were literally beyond filthy. They were literally covered in dirt. The bartender outside wanted to hold my credit card for a simple order of a quesadilla because since my room wasn’t ready, I didn’t have a room number. I found this completely odd and so I asked the receptionist if this was their policy and she said it’s not and to give him my name. He refuses to write my name down and his face was really red like he’d been drinking or something. Their facility along with their staff look unkept. Everything is outdated and cheap looking accept for the dior lounge. The people who stay at gurneys are noisy, loud and obnoxious.. clearly have no culture nor know how to enjoy life. Anyone who leaves a good review probably has never experienced what a nice hotel vibe would be like so they probably don’t know any better. I ordered food to my room and it came in cheap plastic plates or something. It was nowhere near good either. Their fish was so dry I could barely swallow it lol. I was also charged $100 for no apparent reason? I could say more but I’ll stop here. :)

4/10 Fair

Our wallet was stolen out of the room likely by cleaning/housekeeping staff. Front desk was less than helpful and boarderline rude when we asked for a help. We should have known bc when we were checking in to this OVERPRICED $1,000 a night hotel, another guest was filing a complaint because he had items stolen out of his car by valet. We will NEVER go back
