Great stay, would come back
Nice stay. The bar area is nice for solo travelers and couples, and there's also a cute kid's playroom for families. Staff was really nice, very helpful, speaks great English. Internet was fast and reliable. I really liked the reading room with the manga (Deathnote in English!), very nice touch. Place was quite clean, shared bathrooms (if you're in a dorm-style shared room) clean and modern. Located very close to Sensoji, an amusement park close by, close to the Tskuba Express, Hibiya and Ginza lines, Don Quixote and ROX two or three blocks away and great for shopping. Bed was a little hard and super squeaky, but other than that no complaints!

A bit down compared to my previous stay!
This is my second time here, the first one was 2 days after they opened, so everything was new. The hostel itself remains the same, pretty good facilities and service, they have a bar, which I don't recall from my other visit, but people seemed to enjoy it :) Location is great for many things, Sensoji Temple just right there, very close to Tokyo Skytree, Ueno, you can even reach Akihabara easily on foot. The only thing that has gone a bit down is the way the staff behaves, I guess that when they opened things were different and not so many guests. Before they used to take you to your room, show it to you and explain you about the hostel. Checkout process was a cold as well. I encourage the management to try to get back the customer service level. Special mention to Oishi, she was great, lovely girl and very funny, always with a smile despite very long shifts with little time to rest. I'll come back in the future and I recomend to everyone!

I love Tokyo
Khaosan is located in the heart of my favourite area in Tokyo. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is very well organized and it's kept clean and tidy by an efficient and unobtrusive team of young cleaners.
