Really enjoyed our stay!
Even with restrictions in place, this hotel was a joy to stay in. Staff were so friendly and helpful, our room with the balcony gave an incredible view of the city as well as Arthur’s Seat, The Scot Monument and Edinburgh Castle. (Castle only in view of our balcony, the others wouldn’t see it.) Overall we really enjoyed ourselves! Recommended!

Very stylish and very convinient
Was staying for 1 night with a friend in a twin room in October 2020. The hotel and our room were very stylish and clean. Design of the room itself was really nice and well'thought: wallpaper with thistle, portable bedside table, bedside table as a barrell, old-fashioned phone, etc. Really nice small touches. Soap, shower gel and shampoo by Arran smelled SO GOOD! Disadvantages we had: our room had a window, but all you could see through it was a wall. Also due to covid related restrictions you had to book time to dine downstairs (we didn't know and just turned up) and have only two options for breakfast that you cannot really change. But this disadvantages were quite minor for me. I would recommend (if possible) book the place without breakfast and for this price have food somewhere else. Other than that location is super convinient for everyone who travells by bus, train or plane (bus and tram stops to go to the airport in really close).

I stayed at the Ibis a few times whilst I was in Edinburgh as I used it as my base for travelling around Scotland. It's conveniently located near to Waverley Station as well as the bus station, there is also a nearby tram stop that will take you to the airport, so couldn't be any more convenient for anyone travelling in. There are a lot of restaurants nearby to suit any budget as well as pretty good sized supermarket just a short walk away. If you don't want to eat out then the hotel restaurant is also very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is located in Edinburgh's New Town, very close to the Prince Street Gardens. You'll have to walk about 10 minutes to get into the Old Town - there are several uphill routes or steps to take up, or you can go via North Bridge which is less of an incline. I prefer staying in the New Town because although a lot of Edinburgh's sites are in the Old Town it's nice to be away from all of it whilst still being in close proximity. I stayed in a variety of rooms across many floors. All of the rooms were of a good size, and even though one of them was near the elevators I wasn't disturbed by them. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, with good amenities. After my stay I even ordered some of the toiletries used because they were really good. Overall, I think the Ibis Styles is a great place to stay whether this is your first visit to Edinburgh or if you are returning. Great location and very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
