Ok location but only for the most desperate
Lovely people work at Hotel Oceano but the facilities are not well looked after and in desperate need of a renovation. We had a terrible experience starting with a delayed check in and followed by a room covered in sand. Never did get properly cleaned. The pool has an overwhelming smell of urine. The bathrooms in the lobby are a disaster requiring one to hold their breath and pray. The elevators have a mind of their own and no safety precautions allowing them to close, for example on our 3 year old scaring her half to death. The continental breakfast is OK but the same 1 star rating as the hotel. The internet is a joke and doesn’t work. However the staff seems not surprised and tried to gaslight the user into believing there is no problem. The electricity saving measures are both ineffective and compromise safety by ensuring the halls are dark. The air conditioner cools the room after several hours but cannot be left on when not in the room, it is also insanely loud. In summary, stay away.

The hotel was okay, probably a little bit older. Although, I enjoyed breakfast with a lot of options of food and the staff was very friendly and helpful with everything I needed! If you are not looking for anything fancy I would definitely recommend.

First day the hotel receptionist told us that they need to charge extra around US $ 70 for the tax since we paid the hotel but no tax, actually we paid around US$140 per room per night, and total we paid over US$820 for 2 rooms and 3 nights , so end up after tax , we paid around US$ 900. However the condition and service of this hotel are very poor, not like the price we paid. The 1st night the whole hotel’s water system had problems, we didn’t have warm water and couldn’t flush the toilet. We complained but nothing was fixed. We only use old water for shower and the toilet was stinky whole night. The next day my son sons complained their beds were so bad and the bed were sank down when they were sleeping on, they got back hurt and couldn’t sleep well. They requested to change the beds and they agreed. However they still refused to change on the last day, until my son was very angry and required the refund, finally they changed a room for them. This was our worst experience in our life.
