      Great location

Beacon Inn 1750 is in a spectacular part of town. Cute and quaint with excellent shops/restaurants within a block. Nice older home and the staff communicated clearly ahead of time about check in and parking ($30) behind house.

    • 6.0.Good

Beacon Inn 1750 has a great location! It is a few steps away from bus and metro service. A grocery store is across the street. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor. The bed was soft but provided a good night’s sleep. There was minimal lighting, so reading in bed was difficult. There were no instructions for operating the TV, so for the few times we tried to watch TV there seemed to be limited choices, with virtually no channels that carried news. Both the shower and the towels provided were very small. Perhaps rooms on other floors were more spacious; we don’t know. We would probably stay here again simply because of the location and the fact that when we are in Boston we spend very little time in the hotel room.

The location was great for our purposes. The staff are incredibly nice. Just a few things that will be good to know: The beds in the double room are double/full beds, not queen sized as listed in one part. The shower in our double room was clean, great water pressure, just not a lot of extra room to move around. When it rained there was a leak in the corner of the room. Staff had put a trash can under it, making us think they already knew about it. It only rained twice during the week, so it wasn't a big deal. If it rained more, it could become a problem. We were on the third floor...you're on your own with your luggage to get it up there and back down. I probably would stay there again, due to the location. The Dean Street Green Line Stop is right there...in case that is helpful info.

Enjoyable, restful stay - I will be back

Historic inn in beautiful quiet Brookline next to metro. The hospitality and attention by the staff members was excellent, and I appreciate their help with my room change. I will definitely return to stay here again!

It was in a nice neighborhood in Brookline near restaurant and a Star Market. The lock on both my rooms were broken .One I couldn't even use my key.No one was available at the desk and it was 5:30 in the afternoon.I called the emergency number and the maintenance man got me into the room.My last night the fire alarm went off TWICE in the late evening and then after 1am. I would like compensation for the poor lock room and for Sat disruptions with the faulty fire arm. Meredith Loring

Love the room, comfy bed. Cups in bathroom would be nice. Someone tried to open my door, on bottom floor, maybe more clearly mark that room is a guest room.
