We had a relaxing and pleasant stay at this hotel. The views are spectacular but you pay for this. Service is good and the food is excellent but again you pay for that. We settled for a non sea view room, try and avoid these, especially room 17, it has the kitchen extractor vent running the full length of the outside wall of the room vertically. The noise is like a jet engine and starts at 0600 when the kitchens begin work and ends at just past 2200, so ear plugs needed . Also if you open the windows your room fills with the smell of seared meat or vegetables being cooked, not all that attractive
really. This did put a damper on a lovely stay, plus at nearly £250 per night for the most basic room in the hotel, I think you shouldn’t have to put up with a Boeing 737 engine strapped to the wall and operating at full throttle.
