8/10 Very good

Lovely location, extremely friendly staff. Great to get back from a bushwalk and have the fire going! Pity they were a little short staffed due to sickness, but that can't be helped.

The lodge was in a brilliant position for coming off the Overland Track. The amenities and room were very comfortable. It was a welcome indulgence after a hard 6 days. Great view of the Lake and nice spa.

6/10 Good

The Strahan Village has a great setting, and fantastic views from the bar, restaurant. But the rooms are adequate at best. They are echos of a 1980s motel style, pretty basic and could do with a lot of modernising. The resort, owned by the NRMA, also has a near monopoly on local lunch and dining options, all of which are therefore over priced and pretty average quality.
