Hotel staff seemed unfriendly/unapproachable and uninterested in anything you had to ask of them. The rooms were made up each day but not cleaned very well. The hotel restaurant and bar were closed so we opted to eat in the Biet Garden as the weather was horrible outside. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 hamburgers. We were served one burger and when asked re the second were told we’d only ordered one. The bar staff took responsibility after looking into it and seen we had ordered 2. We were still given the one burger and told we’d have to wait on the 2nd. When we started to the first burger it was cold. So returned it. We were then served another burger (one again) and so we shared this until the 2nd was brought out. Turns out the first burger was not the beef burger we had ordered but was a bacon burger. As we had started to eat it and with all the hassle, we just ate it and then shared the 2nd burger when it was finally brought to us.

Good 6.0
The hotel beds were very uncomfortable (hard as a rock), the rooms were advertised as having a "mini bar" but all the room has is a tiny fridge (empty). The bathroom is very tiny and the glass door to the shower bangs into the toilet when you open it. There is no way to control the room temperature other than opening the window, so it got very hot at night when trying to sleep.

Mini moon in Iceland
From the moment we checked in, staff were pleasant + extremely helpful! Hotel location was perfect and the breakfast buffet was excellent we both said. Would definitely go back to Iceland, maybe in the summer next time and will look into booking the Foss hotel again!

5* A Brilliant Stay @ Fosshotel Reykjavík
We missed our first night due to a storm, however the concierge was very friendly and helpful- he kindly upgraded our room and gave us a voucher for two free beers! Food in the bar was very good- we had a hot dog and reindeer burger- yummy! Would definitely visit here again. Couldn’t fault it at all- the coffee and sweet treats in the morning were a lovely touch too!

Nice place
Nice stay. Clean room. Good view. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but took local recommendations. Parking in the garage was pricey, would recommend finding street parking. Would definitely stay again.
