Would definitely recommend this for a stay in Melbourne. We were in the city for the Australian Open, we wanted to have a clean comfortable place on the Yarra. We wanted cooking, laundry, wifi & a location with ease to travel to Olympic Park, this place has all the check marks. The free Olympic Park tram for the AO city tram & the free Tourist tram on Flinders just a 2 min walk away, trams run frequently,, it was an easy walk to Southern Cross & Flinders station. We often took strolls on the Boardwalk on both the North & south sides of the River. There were many restaurants across the river from us, we tried-all great & also walked a little further down to try the busier area restaurants (closer to the Casino). It’s all wonderful. Lots to see & do & we thoroughly enloyed our 11 day stay. The Botanical Gardens & Shrine of Rembrance are excellent. We took the train out to Brighton to see the Bath Boxes then walked along the ocean boardwalk to St Kilda. We took in some theatre Just of note, we were given instructions to hotel from Southern Cross & put it in our GPS. This was not successful & we wandered for quite some time. Some very helpful area residents assisted & we found it on Siddeley as the address indicates. Folllowing days we wondered why the difficulty! I think it was because we were looking for the « Melbourne Waterfront Apts » It’s Flinders Wharf We didn’t bother with a car but fyi there is plenty of parking on Siddeley.

Location was good with a large outdoor balcony that I paid extra for. Property is tired and very overpriced. The large balcony was smelly ( smelt like urine) and dirty. Inside was also tired, we shouted our son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. We sent an email prior for the bed configuration which was with 2 single beds. On arrival no single beds I had to phone reception, talk to a manager ended up having to accept a trundle bed that once again had to keep requesting. Went to bath the grandchildren and no plug after phoning numerous numbers 45 min later a plug arrived. Pool area indoor certainly not suitable for young children, very deep, no shallow end.Wouldn’t stay there again very over priced and dated. Melbourne has a lot better apartments on offer . My suggestion is shop around and don’t get fooled by the pictures that showed a glossy apartment with magnificent balcony.
