Urgent need of a refresh.
The hotel is very 'tired' and hasn't been update in many years/decades. It's an old building and the floors creak, the walls are thin. The staff were very pleasant but I wouldn't stay again.

A Great, Convenient Home Base
All in all, it was a great place to stay. Only a five minute walk from Paddington Station with several good spots to eat just a block away. Our room was basic but very adequate, (as we expected). It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The room fan plus open window kept it completely tolerable in the extreme heat. The staff were ALL friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The breakfast was always delicious and served quickly. We would definitely return and do recommend it!

Don't Ruin your Vacation. 2 sleepless night.
Hotel doesn't have Air-conditioning. Extremely unhygienic. Carpets are old .trip hazard when you come out of the elevator. Rooms are for liliput. Bathroom is smaller than airplane. Linens and towels are very old and colors are grayish. Toilet doesn't flush properly. Faucet water doesn't mix for hot and cold. Breakfast is low quality. You need to eat in the dining room ca not bring food to your room for sleepy partner. Only staffs are good.

Worth a look
The staff are wonderful here and can't do enough to keep you happy. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location for access to the tube and lots of interesting restaurants in close proximity. It is an old property and the owners have tried hard to update and keep it clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely consider staying here again.
