Very dirty and outdated. Checking in, we were barely spoken to. We got to the room, inspected it, then immediately walked downstairs and checked out. There was mold in the bathroom. The door looked like it had been busted in. No AC! It was 90 degrees outside and about 80 inside. TV didn’t work.

The Best Location Most Economical
So close to the National Mall, beautiful building, could use some renovations in lobby and rooms, but for this price it is has no rivals! We have stayed here many times with success. Unaffiliated parking on neighboring block was expensive, $40 overnight during the week!

Moldy and questionable
There was mold and hairs in the bathtub, hair in the bed, and the water did not stay hot more than five seconds in the shower. The heat in the room also did not work, and the carpet had stains all over. The room itself was cute and the wifi worked well, but the problems previously stated are too big to ignore.

Eh…
Came on business and receptionist/supervisor wouldn’t honor my institution’s tax exemption. Because I’m here on business and only staying one night, it didn’t need to be luxury or super fancy, but it really was bare minimum. I only noticed upon arrival that it was a hotel for tourists. Felt like I had checked into a motel, it was *that* shabby. Most inconvenient thing was the fact that there was absolutely no hot water running in my room. Water got lukewarm at most. I certainly won’t be pressed to book this hotel for any future business or personal travel.
