Great Experience
Really enjoyed the prestige of staying at this hotel. It’s quite pricey but I believe it’s worth the money. The restaurants, lounges, and pool service were great. The space in the rooms was bigger than expected, we loved our balcony view and the hospitality of all the staff.

Peculiar place
None of the several surprises were good. Hotel entrance is NOT at street address, it’s actually on 13th Ave. At check-in, they add a $25.00 fee for “activity “ or “facility”. Instead of the wall to wall floor to ceiling windows in the online photos, our room was dominated by a huge pillar and had only a narrow window and a door (avoid room numbers ending in 01!). The advertised separate seating area was an armchair in the corner. The bed was very comfortable, but the bedding was only a duvet on top of a flat sheet on top of a mattress pad; no way to get “between the sheets “. The sofa on the balcony was a nice idea, but it was stained and uncomfortable. There was a very well stocked minibar, but no ice bucket and no ice machine anywhere; had to use room service. Rooms are not very quiet; lots of traffic noise and a dog barking in a nearby room in the middle of the night. Staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Location is good, with lots of restaurants in easy walking distance. But overall, this is not the upscale property it claims to be.

The views and all are kinda cool. I was expecting a bit more from the hotel being used to SLS Beverly Hills & Vegas, but call it biased. The rooms and feel are typical SLS. They could have used higher floors to really take advantage of the building. The staff that woke me up that morning were rude as F*** from me sleeping in, but idk what they deal with on a regular basis so whatever. SLS could have done better in general with this one.
