We were in the 'Doctors Residence'.It was lovely to have a fire going in the lounge, very cosy. The staff were marvellous and the continental breakfast was both generous and very nice.

Lovely Lodge
When we arrived, we were upgraded to a room with en-suite rather than the shared bathroom that we were expecting, which was a lovely surprise. The room was a good size for 1/2 nights stay and had everything we needed. Lovely lounge area with good kitchen facilities. They also offered breakfast, but we weren’t told that we had to order the day before so unfortunately we couldn’t get breakfast there but easy to drive into town to get some. Overall, a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.

Characterful and comfortable place to stay
I had a lovely room in this characterful place, with access to a kitchen and lounge area. There's even a hot tub on the front lawn, perfect for soaking those tired limbs after the Tongariro Crossing walk! Great little place.

Passing through for one night, stayed in double-bed room 3. Excellent value for money, even at the pre-reduction rate of 80$. Staff particularly helpful with an initially recalcitrant wifi system, kitchen well-equipped and laid out, well chosen range of dvds in the lounge, rooms and facilities clean and appropriately equipped. Only shortcoming noticed was lack of shaving mirrors in the mens' bathroom, easy to rectify.

Great place to stay on a ski trip
A great place to spend a couple of nights on a ski trip as it’s not far from Turoa ski fields. The whole place was very clean and cosy, with great attention to small details. Friendly staff too. Would recommend bringing ear plugs and eye masks if you’re a light sleeper. Thanks for the spa - albeit a tad cold when we visited. Overall a great place to stay. Will come again.
