Nice motel close to Wilsons Prom

A nice motel close to Wilsons Promontory. Lots of great restaurants and shops in Foster, and centrally located for all the sites in the area. The hotel is a bit dated and the furniture is showing its age, but the staff are super friendly and the rooms are large and comfortable.

Stayed for two nights as part of a road trip, used as a base to explore Wilsons Prom NP. Very quick and friendly check-in, plenty of parking, and fairly large room for a motel. Room was clean and comfortable enough, and quiet with no traffic noise. Decent location for shops, takeaways and pub in Foster, and about 20-30 mins drive to NP entrance, another 30 mins on to Tidal River.

Nice room but service was average.

The room was clean with nice fittings and a comfy bed but communication with the motel was challenging. The water hammer was a bit off putting too.

It was a great location, right in the middle of town. Very easy to get to the supermarket and takeaway stores. The property was clean, but run down. We were promised a cot twice, by two different staff members, for our 1 year old and did not end up with one. So we had to manage without one for 2 nights. The microwave didn’t work properly, which is also not great with baby bottles. We notified the staff of our second child (baby) coming when we booked and they were fine with this and then we were made to feel awkward when we checked in because we had an extra guest. We were told to park in front of our room and then we were blocked in by another guest because there wasn’t enough space for everyone to park in front of their rooms. If you are not too fussy this would be fine. It was just difficult to manage staying here with children.

Foster and Wilsons Prom a great place to stay.

Old motel very close to town. Pub with great meals was just across the road. Supermarket was just across the road also. Motel was clean and everything worked except for the door which was very hard to open from the inside. No meals in motel due to hard times and covid closure. We did days trips to the Prom from here.

Bathroom had skylight which let light in at night, so did not have to turn on light. Communication with caretakers minimal regarding lockdown in Victoria from 12 Feb to 17 Feb - we did not get a phone call while on the road and while not glued to the mobile phone news.

It was no doubt affected by Covid but there was no chef so no meals and no one in attendence when we arrived and the key was supposed to have been left in the room and it wasn't
