Central modern hotel
This was an excellent mid-range stay option for Dunedin. The hotel is located just off George St in the shopping precinct, a few blocks north of the central Octagon area. It's close to everything - 10min or less to walk to iSite, Octagon, Cadbury factory, library, and the shopping areas. The position is a big plus and parking is helpful too as there isn't much parking around. The room was very quiet and modern. King size bed with a spare single bed, lounge area, decent size TV with SKY, modern but small kitchen (fridge, microwave, sets of crockery and cutlery, but no stove top or no cook top). The bathroom was excellent for its size with a heated floor and modern fittings. WiFi connection was good with 1GB download for 5 days free included for 4 devices, plus extra data was cheap. The only very small down side - view from the balcony was basically over the car park. The bar fridge was quite loud at night, but they always seem to be these days.

Exceptional 10.0
Immaculate spot in the middle of everything
We (four of us for a girls weekend) stayed in a huge one bed apartment that had everything we needed. An enormous master bedroom with a very comfy bed, 2 single beds in the lounge. The lounge still had a couch and chairs to sit around on and a full kitchen with dining table, we discovered a wee laundry too. Everything was immaculate. Our apartment was a terrace one, the apartment was off a indoor terrace, covered with a perspex roof, that had lovely (although artificial) planting, outdoor seating and bar leaners, so we sat and had a drink there in the sun - perfect! Great spot in the middle of town, yet tucked away so it was private and relatively quiet.

Amongst it all in Central Dunedin
You have to look for the sign to find it, as it is set down a lane off George Street in Central Dunedin. We stayed in the self contained apartments. WOW ...... you could live here. It has everything that a studio apartment would have. Location ...... fantastic. Cafe's, food, pubs, clothes shopping right out the front of where you stay. 5 minutes walk to the Octagon, Chocolate Factory, Train Station, Cathedral and so much more ..... it is great. I would definitely come back here. Super clean and really secure. Car parking as well which is fantastic.

We stayed with four families. Room was large, there was a feeling of cleanliness, bed was comfortable, washing and drying machine was also there and I was able to spend a very cozy time. In December it was bright until 10 o'clock and the dinner was sometimes slowed down, but we also walked around restaurants (Indian, seafood, Chinese, Thai, Japanese food, Korean yakiniku, bar shops etc.) It is very convenient that you can go soon and the supermarket is within 3 minutes walking distance. For the sightseeing you can also walk the Otago Museum and you can quickly go to the Albatross Center, Penguins, Larnach Castle, Botanic Gardens etc by car. In case It is hotel which we want to stay by all means when we come again.

Good 6.0
Well located close to shops and restaurants.
I was looking for a good quality hotel at a reasonable price. It was a special weekend which involved us getting married in Dunedin at 3pm. Staff were very helpful in allowing us access to our room early at 12 mid day. It was a particularly warm weekend for Dunedin...26deg. What was disappointing was there was no air conditioner in the room. This is something I would have expected. It was uncomfortably hot all weekend and at night. Had I known there was no air con I would not have booked into this hotel. Otherwise it was very satisfactory.
