Very good
Very good and central location
This is what you pay for - the rooms are in a basic standard. Massive and old building with high ceilings which is good. The bed and room was overall clean and mattress comfy. Everything including the shared bathroom facilities were fine. The staff spoken a good level of English which is not always what you experience in Austria. However this place can get a bit noisy as per the communal garden that is open all night for the residents that socialise there a lot. Can be good for party goers on the budget but I think it would help the situation a lot if some stricter timing would be implemented. For example to lock the garden at 22:00 and ask everyone to leave. I suggest this because I work as Concierge in London and this is what we do at work on my duty and it seems to work:) wishing you all the best

Exceptional
Value for money. Excellent service and location.
Service by the young men at reception was exceptional they couldn't do enough to help me or any other guests. Reception is 24 hour and they looked after my bag after check out. Happy to give advice on sights to see. The building is a lovely old building. Remember that it is shared bathroom and showers. Some showers are individual but you may have to wait for them. Mixed accomodation on each floor. But I am sure the accommodation will be much superior to a hostel as it is university accomodation and there are individual rooms not dormitories. Excellently situated. Tram outside that runs every 5 to 10 mins and S4 line less than 10 mins walk away. For type of accomodation I would score 5 but against other types Only a 4 .Would I stay again yes definitely and would recommend to others looking for this style of accommodation yes. Thank you for making my holiday so great. Can't be beaten!

Good
Staff was very helpful and gave lots of recommendations to first-time tourists even though service was a little slow. There’s no lift so if you have a heavy luggage like I did, good luck. Wifi doesn’t work in the room so you have to go to the corridor. Bed is really old and squeaks even if you make the slightest movement on it. Room is pretty old and has no fan nor air conditioning so it can get quite warm even with the windows opened. Shared shower doors can’t be locked. Only curtains in the shower and the shower space was very small. Common spaces were clean. Location is great as there’s a tram station just a minute away.

Very good
Thrifty in Vienna.
Nice big windows and beautiful trees. A mile walk into old town Vienna. Very nice. This hotel is not fancy. More of a private room in a college dorm. No towels or soap and shared facilities but nice and thrifty. We had two people and only one key. This was a little ridiculous! It would make things so much easier to have two keys. Particularly because we needed to go through more than one locked area to get to our room.

Poor
Not worth it
The hotel was really bad, they didn't have hot water, no towels, the room was awful, the wi-fi needed new code every day, it was limited to 1GB per day. The room was 4th floor with no elevator. The room was disgusting, the walls really dirty, i even had to fix the desk by myself.
