AVOID THIS MOTEL
I travel all the time and this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had. Right at check in the owner/operator said he did not have the room available I booked. He said he could give my family a better room at an increased rate. We booked for 5 nights. The town is extremely small and the owner knew the other area hotels were completely booked. He jacked the price up about $150 for our stay. Claiming he was giving us a really good deal. I know for a fact as we were in town for an event that he did the exact same thing to other families. Claiming Hotels.com/Expedia messed up the booking. He would give them “a deal” at a higher rate. This of course knowing they had nowhere else to go.

Eavestrough was not clean and leaking on our head while going in our room. Host was not the friendliest person I've met but seen worst before. Room was spotless. First motel I've had in my life without a coffee machine. Not practicle when you wake up in the morning. In general , place was fine.

The motel is located very close to all points of interest in Woodstock. Although modest, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the water is hot and plentiful; just what one needs after a long road trip. We enjoyed two extraordinary meals, freshly made, authentic East Indian cuisine. Delicious! The hospitality shown by the proprietors exceeded anything we have ever experienced! So kind, so warm and eager to please their guests. We intended a 2 day stay to rest up, but decided to stay a further 3 nights because we felt right at home. We saw a great deal of the Woodstock area because we spent some extra time here. Woodstock's motto is "hospitality town", and Stiles Motel certainly provides that in spades. It saddens us that this motel is overlooked by tourists- give it a try fellow travelers!
