    Feels like coming Home
This is an incredible hotel from walking into the open-air lobby with breathtaking views to the attentive service and delicious food. My wife and I spent 4 nights here celebrating her birthday and it was fabulous. Diego at the front desk, along with Rena & Zaira made our check in and check out seamless. The Rooftop bar where Luis waited on us has delicious drinks and stunning views. Jihad the manager trains all of his staff to give attention to the smallest detail. Concierge, Pablo, assisted us with many questions and details, while the pool wait staff of Aldo and Alex made our time at the infinity pool restful, relaxing and refreshing by keeping our drinks topped off. Julio in the Glass Box makes great cappuccinos. Manuel, our room service water, gave great service, setting us up on our terrace for romantic dinners. The valet, Janay, always had our car waiting for us and was great in helping with our bags. Liz, our housekeeper, always had the room spotless and smelling fresh. We also met with Gabriel the sales manager who gave us a great tour of the facility, as we consider coming back with a group. We were treated so nicely that we made it a point to get to know each of the above staff's names because they truly do treat you like family. We highly recommend The Cape and we will be back to visit again and again.

    Swanky elegance with unmatched service
The Cape has become our #1 favorite hotel. We have stayed with the Ritz in Maui…no comparison. We have stayed with the St Regis in Aspen and San Francisco…no comparison. The Cape is cool, swanky and just plain amazing!! The food was local, fresh and we could have eaten ourselves into a coma. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect. Presentation was only surpassed by the preparation of some truly incredible recipes. The grounds were spectacular as was the hotel and our room. Ocean view? OMG…can’t tell you how many nights I fell asleep listening to the waves on the balcony swing! The staff were friendly and attentive, but sincere. They were more like family. They shared stories about themselves and took interest in us. Julio (the Barista) was the most amazing person. We found ourselves spending hours in the cafe just talking with him. Learning about his family, teaching him English and learning Spanish. Nelson also became a true Amigo! His constant smile and swagger expressed his warm personality perfectly. Again, we found ourselves spending time talking with him about his family and really getting to know him. It is unfair to only name a few as the entire staff was equally as fun and friendly...Luis, Eduardo, Alex (our driver), Santiago, every single staff member.

    Very good 8.0
    Great getaway at The Cape
Met a friend in Cabo for a ladies getaway. Hotel property is gorgeous with a great, relaxed feel. Super easy to get to room, pool, fitness center, beach, etc. Views are spectacular, truly. Enjoyed watching the local surfers catch incredible waves from the hotel and fitness room. Staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Dined in every restaurant. First night at the restaurant that overlooks the pool. Food excellent. Third night at Manta. Wine and salad was great. Atmosphere really good/cozy. Steak entree missed the mark by miles. Steak was TOUGH, actually inedible. Very disappointing. The rest of meal was very good. Headed to Rooftop Bar after dining. NICE and FUN! Great music with lights and quite a show. Had a blast dancing and was lots of fun. Downside to property is that there is no coffee in the rooms. I like my java immediately. Not cool I have to dress and head to the coffee bar (THOUGH it is beautiful and the view in here is remarkable as well). Julio made a LOVELY coffee for me, "his way". Would recommend it! Then gave me great tips for in town dining. "Maria Jimenez" is a MUST!!!! Holy moly! Delicious! Unfortunately our phone in our room did not work well. But we texted someone who messaged us on our mobiles, and told them we needed room service. There was a knock on our door within two minutes. A gentleman was there to take our order. Coffee came quickly. Pool service and food at pool excellent. Loved the feel of this property.

    Poor 2.0
Prior to my visit last year, the Cape was one of my more-favorite places to visit. Unfortunately, all the things that one worries about when visiting Mexico came true. Halfway through my trip at the Cape I developed a severe rash that caused pain, itched, and looked horrible. The only things I had been exposed to at that point were the pool and hot tubs at the Cape. I hadn't traveled outside the resort, so it's clear that whatever I was exposed to was something found on the resort property. (I've attached photos.) When I finally did leave the resort, the valet staff joined a cab driver in attempting to rip me off. I was promised the ride would be $10.00. Upon arriving back at the resort, I got out of the cab and started walking away. The valet staff called me back and said that the driver and I had agreed to $20.00. I do not speak Spanish. Thankfully, the woman I was traveling with did. She immediately told me that upon our arrival, the valet staff and cab driver began talking about fees. Cab driver asked what the hotel quoted for taxi rides. Valet said it was $20. Cab driver then asks the valets for help collecting the additional $10.00. The guys actually got pushy about it, which is extremely concerning. So yes - even at the Cape - and even with the staff - someone is trying to rip you off. Servers were rude at the restaurant.

    2nd time here (celiac friendly!)
This hotel is remote, and stunning. Quality 5 star resort with 5 star service. Not pretentious, staff and guests are down to earth and inviting. Super clean rooms and common areas. Food and dining options are yummy. Just gets pricey, around $150/ day for 2 ppl. And then add in more if you're a drinker! Dear to me, if you have ANY allergy or dietary restrictions, the executive chef will see to it that you are well taken care of. I can not have any traces of gluten exposure, so cross contamination could have ruined our 4 day trip. THANK YOU chef Victor!!! Grounds are stunning. The Mona Lisa is right next door, make reservations 1 month out! The Cape isn't a "walkable" resort, but you can quickly get to downtown cabo for a $20 (one way), $30 to san Jose or $1pp on the local city bus (highly recommend if you want to save some change!) Its SAFE. And has AC. Everywhere takes USD. Pedro and Maria were our stand out staff members. But honestly everyone is kind, accommodating and pleasant to be around. Lastly, leave the kiddos at home. Pool drinking, bikinis (some more exposing than others, nothing too crazy) but not a beach resort. So no your kids are in the pool with a bunch of random adults. Awkward. Anywhoo, there are steps down to beach access but tons of surfers, which means the currents are strong. You can layout and dip in the ocean but not calm waters to let your guard down in ; )
