Long weekend in Lisbon
Enjoyed four nights stay, well situated not too far to walk into the city. Plenty of evening meal options within a few hundred metres, good breakfast, comfortable room, helpful staff, good value for money.

Check your door code works for outer door!! On first night at 10pm we were locked out!! We had not been given a telephone number in case of a problem, we had to resort to shouting and throwing stones at neighbours window!! Eventually, the neighbour responded and luckily had telephone number and got an alternative code which he came down with and opened door for us. Florentina was great in the morning and reset our door code, however no apology made to us for the distress caused -we would have had to sit on step as all credit cards and passports locked in room safe - so we could not check in anywhere else! Hotel otherwise very clean and tidy, breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. Area currently under quite a lot of construction, so not peaceful in the mornings. Five minutes walk to Mercado, 10 mins to metro.

Unique stay in Lisbon
We stayed one night before catching a plane home early in the morning. The room was comfortable, not large but big enough. The only issue was the water was off when we woke at 6:30 and we worried that we would have to fly all day without having a shower in the morning. It came on when the staff came in and reset the power but it made our morning quite rushed. Breakfast starts at 8am which is a bit late. But we loved it even though we had to eat and run. We would be willing to give them another try next time in Lisbon.

Top recommendations for a Lisbon Stay
We loved our stay at Castilho House Cais this weekend. The property exceeded expectations with a well presented room, quirky entrance area and brilliant staff interaction. The staff went above and beyond to help with local area suggestions and travel. The location is ideal for the station, adjacent to the main walk into town and by many restaurants such as in the Time Out Market. We will definitely be returning to Castilho House, thank you for a brilliant stay!

Great short stay
We had a one night stop over with 22 hrs in Lisbon. It was an excellent decision to head into the City and stay in this small, well run Hotel. It has been updated from my Google Maps search and looks really good. Reception was excellent with lots of useful info being provided and even a welcome Tea and Coffee being made for us. It is a little off the beaten track, but only 10 minutes level walk into the centre and waterfront. We took the Aerobus from the airport to Cais do Sodre which was easy and cheap. The Hotel arranged for a private car back to the airport as it was a mid morning flight out the next day. We were delighted that a chauffeur limo arrived and took us in Luxury to the Terminal in 25 minutes. Just 18 euros (bargain). Breakfast does not start until 8am but we were allowed to go into the dining area and start 15 mins early due to our airport transport. Breakfast was very good and tasty. The only thing we would have welcomed was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Overall, great stay and would recommend this hotel and certainly stay again.

Absolute gem in the heart of town
This place must have been recently renovated and it shows. Wow, just wow. Getting there can be a bit tricky because of all the one-way streets (and you definitely can't park anywhere) but it's all worth it. Check-in was friendly and quick. I had a room on the top floor and it was entirely self-contained: comfortable bed and your own toilet and shower. The guest house includes breakfast as well which was a nice selection of fruit, cheeses, bread and cereal. The guest house is close to public transport and some main sights of the city. It's also close to Time Out Market, which is great if you're looking for various food options. I made my booking through the website which was quick and easy. Unfortunately my flight was cancelled and I only discovered this while at the airport. I then tried to ring the guesthouse to arrange for an extra night stay but unfortunately this time the staff member didn't speak English. That was perhaps the only negative I can say. If you travel to Lisbon and are looking for a great value stay, make sure to check this place out!

Highly Recommended!
We stayed one night at Castilho House Cais, which is located in the Cais do Sodre district in Lisbon. The hotel is a hidden gem, a couple blocks away from the main road, but still only a 10 minute walk from the Cais do Sodre Aerobus stop. Our room was on the top floor, very spacious and clean, and was right underneath the roof which gave it a nice and cozy atmosphere. One thing that amazed me was how quiet the room was - even though major construction work was being done to a building just around the corner from the hotel! The breakfast, which is served in the lobby/kitchen area, was really tasty and excellent. Also it gives you a chance to meet and talk to the other guests, since you'll be dining in a cozy, communal setting. Be aware that if you happen to travel heavy (as we were, unfortunately), there are no elevators to the rooms - though the friendly staff is more than happy to help you with your luggage! Nearby, the TimeOut Market is a good place to find a quick bite, and you can catch a train to Belem from Cais do Sodre station. The hotel is also in reasonable walking distance of many places you might want to visit in Lisbon city center, though I'd recommend taking cabs or Ubers for the most part. My wife and I highly recommend that you stay at Castilho House Cais.

Fantastic, quirky place to stay- great value too!
We had a wonderful overnight stay in Castilho House Caisson. The decor is so quirky, friendly staff and fantastic value for money. It is only a few hundred yards from the huge indoor eating market place- perfect for eating after a long journey. The company also offers a very efficient, value for money transfer service. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay there the next time we visit Lisbon.
