    Owner very pleasant and helpful, brought our suitcases up four flight of stairs since there was no elevator. For older people it was difficult to walk up four flight of stairs.

    Filipo and staff were excellent. very helpful and pleasant--especially with carrying our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs--no elevator---located in an apartment building on the 3rd floor The rooms were clean and bathrooms updated.-, breakfast ok The entrance and stairway very dark and dusty--not a good first impression. located

    A B and B with a very personable innkeeper

    The B&B Le Ghiacciaie is very well located -- a short walk to the train station and then on to the sights and experiences of Florence. Although our room was up a couple of flights of stairs, our host was happy to help with our bags. The room was sparkling clean, and the nice shower was especially appreciated after a day of sightseeing and wandering the city. When we travel, we often choose to stay at B and Bs because we enjoy getting to know the innkeeper and taking advantage of his/her perspective and experience as we plan our visit. Although we stayed at several B and Bs during our two-week visit to Tuscany, Le Ghiacciaie was the only one that satisfied that expectation. Our innkeeper greeted us at breakfast time every morning, warmed our flaky croissants for us, and made the most wonderful cappuccinos we've every tasted. He spoke very good English and enjoyed learning more as he told us of his recent visit to the US and made suggestions about sights to see and restaurants to visit.

    Be Aware.

    We were charged tax via the hotel in advance of our visit via our credit card. When we about to leave we were asked to pay tax again and in cash. So they made us pay twice. Second there is no elevator in the building. They expect you to lug your luggages up 4 flights of stairs by yourself. Next this is not a hotel. They have renovated an apartment. There are like 5 rooms with a central kitchen where they give you a breakfast. The breakfast is just warmed up food they buy at the supermarket. The location is at the back of a train station. There are questionable people walking around. Be careful at night.

    Amazing florence city break

    Amazing hosts very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. The shower was lovely very powerful and very clean. It is a little way out of town but this wasn’t a problem for us. Get to and from the centre will be easier once the team system has been completed. I would definitely stay here again.

    Le B&B est très bien placé, près du centre historique. Les chambres sont bien aménagées. Et si vous avez de la chance, vous pouvez trouver une place pour vous garer à proximité. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et serviables. Pour des Français, le petit déjeuner est un peu juste..
