Dang Derm Khaosan

Third stay at the Dang Derm. I enjoy the pool (although some more chairs would be nice—there’s room). The rooms aren’t too bad and the building keeps out a surprisingly amount of the noise from Khao San Rd.

If you want to experience the vibe of old Bangkok, this hotel is what you are looking for. In addition, it is recommended for young people. The hotel is clean and no luxury, you get what you pay, however, you need to know that beds are actually just materases on the floor. For older people could be a problem... Also, it gets very noisy at night, it is highly recommended for parties or if you want to try an authentic Thai cuisine. Overall, had a good experience.

The main plus point is its location u will always be in the most happening area.. buffet breakfast is too good nd staff is cooperative with a smiling face

The best you can get in the heart of Khaosan Road. Nice pool and view on the roof with bar. Nice buffet breakfast too. But you are in Khaosan road so this means VERY noisy at night. It personnaly didn't bother me (hear plugs on!) but don't go there with babies or if you are looking for quiet nights!

We knew that this hotel was located in the Khaosan Road Market area of Bangkok, however having never been to Thailand, we didn’t know what to expect. At night, the road shuts down, and it is party central...which is ok if that’s what you want, however it was super loud in our room until 4-5am. The party goes late, and even with earplugs, I had trouble sleeping. Aside from that, the service just wasn’t good. You have to pay $500 Bhat each for a security deposit for your room key (which isn’t a key, but just a flimsy card for the door. Also, when we checked out, they said we should’ve had 4 towels in our room, and we only had 3...they wanted to keep our security deposit for this. Lastly, the room itself wasn’t phenomenal...very poor lighting, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was just a mattress on the floor. Like I said, just be aware of what you are getting into...the price was cheap, but the hotel, location, and amenities really weren’t even worth that price. The photos online look great, and to me and my wife, they were a little misleading.

Great location. Born noisy at night as it is right on the main strip. Lovely rooms, clean, nice pool, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Would stay here again

No dramas. Got what we paid for. Would stay again!

This location is located right on Khao Son road so perfect location if your looking to party!!! :)

Great location right on Khao San Road close to night markets and bars

Very nice hotel in terms of amenities however, my friend got a lot of huge bed bug bites on the back of her thighs after staying the first night at the hotel. Other than that, the room is big and the bathroom has a lot of room as well. Love the idea of having to stay at an authentic thai hotel right at Khao San road. Location is fantastic with lots of activities just right outside the hotel
