We paid a $30 increase for a queen bed instead of a double. We called the desk to say it wasn’t a queen. It was very late and we had already unpacked some things. We were told adjustment could be made when manager arrived in the morning, so we agreed to stay in the room, knowing we wouldn’t be paying the upcharge.
I used the measure app on my phone and the bed was 55”.
I got an email through hotels.ca the next day with manager saying we’re wrong, and no adjustment to bill. I could not reply directly so went through customer service at hotels.ca. After explaining, I was told hotel would respond to me by email within 2 hours. That was a week ago and nothing. I feel hotels.ca should adjust their room description, but really my point is, don’t pay the extra for a queen. Everything else was fine, and the night desk staff was fabulous. All that was ruined by manager response, and no follow up.
