Our liason, Bogdan, seemed nice enough but he failed to mention a few major things: how to work the dryer and the microwave, and the fact that if you leave a key in the door on the inside and then leave, you can't get back in. We had the other key with us and couldn't deadbolt the door when we left. We actually ran into Bogdan that day and explained our inability to lock the door on the way out and he was curt and condescending. We were locked out when we got back that evening. The very kind building managers, Michele & Geva, called a locksmith and waited with us til 9:45p when we were able to get back in, 200 euros later.
Hotels.com has a number of Vatican Beesprint apartments and it was very difficult to find the address to ours. They gave me the wrong address and a number to call in Rome, but it was only accessible during certain hours; with the 9-hr time difference, it was tough to time it right and I kept getting the voicemail. Hotels.com couldn't find the correct address which seems ridiculous since they rent out the apt. Rome was the last 3 nights of our 2-wk trip and we weren't able to get ahold of our liason (in order to meet and get the keys) until the day we got there--our tour guide was the one who finally got ahold of him. Bogdan had sent us emails but it was to the wrong address and we didn't always have internet access.
