Money stolen out of safe
Overall, the hotel is nice. The front desk staff was very welcoming and pleasant. It’s in a busier area so it can definitely be loud. We didn’t mind and it was close to places we enjoyed going, but if you’re looking for something quiet, this isn’t it. The reason for the poor review, our money was stolen out of the safe. We checked out and left in a hurry to catch a bus to our next destination. We realized it and came back within 30 min of checking out. They let me back in the room and when I went to put in my code, it kept saying there was an error which I thought was weird, but again I was in a rush. Someone from maintenance came in and opened the safe and I grabbed my bag and left. When I got in the bus, I opened my bag and saw all my money was gone. I was upset and wasn’t expecting to get it back, but wanted to bring it to their attention. The manager showed us security footage of a staff member going into our room within the 30 min time frame we were gone, but said it couldn’t be him cause he’s been working there a couple years. Then proceeded to tell me I must’ve went to a massage parlor and had it stolen else where. He then asked me why I would keep my money in a safe, as if that’s not what a safe is for. We also had left a tip for the maids and I noticed that the money we left on the counter was gone, yet the video never showed maids going into clean the room, just that one guy. Anyhow, if you decide to stay here, just keep your valuables in a locked suitcase.
