Horrible food. Great location.
Wonderful location. Common areas are beautiful. Rooms are fine. Restaurant service and food is abysmal. Some of the worst food we had in Iceland. Overpriced. Really poor service and the worst cut of Lamb I've ever had. There was more sinew than meat and it looked gray and dead. Not what you'd expect for a $70 entree. We would have sent it back if we could have tracked our waiter down. But he never returned. We even had to get a check from another staff member to pay. Would NEVER eat hear again. Breakfast: the scrambled eggs were severely undercooked (looked like they would give you food poisoning) I asked for a side of fully cooked eggs and was treated as if was a major inconvenience.

8/10 Very good

Great Hotel
Nice hotel. Not luxury as advertised by any standards Location is pretty but nothing close by. Restaurant way over priced. Service great. Menu choices nice, but too many unexpected flavors combined. Just because you can add an exotic spice doesnt mean in works. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms too hot no way to stop the heat. Had to keep the windows open to help.

It’s a stunning property close to the glaciers and an amazing waterfall. The tasting menu was delightful in the restaurant.
