Warm and friendly
Clean and simple, with a great bar, helpful staff and reliable hot showers! I moved here after staying in a dank, cold hostel and was very glad I did.

Fun hostel
Good stay, good room, fun hostel. Only downfall was room 210 which I was placed in, was in the direction of sunrise with no sunblocking blinds which heated and light up the room from 7am.

Fair 4.0
Very disappointing - go to Wild Rover instead :)
I stayed 3 nights for Christmas and was expecting a great festive atmosphere but it was rather a cold and boring place so I ended up spending my evening at Wild Rover where there was a proper party and some cool people. There is a pool table but it is so damaged that it is impossible to play. The staff is trying to get some atmosphere but I feel the commune areas are too old and not welcoming anymore so it doesn't work. The hostel is full of posters on the wall with a list of things that are forbidden to do, whereas everyone is here for that anyway. I feel the hostel need to be refurbished and re-decorated to be back in the game !

Good 6.0
great if you want to party all night
lovely historic building but way too noisy if you want to chill out. Would be a 4 star otherwise.

Great stay
Great location a few minutes from Plaza Major and the Mercado Lanza. Despite quiet hours 4th floor and up pretty noisy until the bar closes. Free coffee/tea, no free bottled water. Food comparatively expensive considering 20 Bs gets you a huge meal around the corner at Restaurante Plaza Parilla.
