Great hospitality of the night receptionist
They would welcome you with some fanfare which felt abit weird for me haha... The neck of flowers. But it was welcoming for the warm tea and warm towel. Check-in was quite fast. Thanks for that! The night team when I was there during week of election is superb. It was pouring heavily, I still wanted to go to the city to have a look and dinner, and he was all ready to help. He even kindly arranged for a tuktuk with Mr Ashok help to try to wait for me so that I can safely come back without worries Truly made my long and rainy day at Ella. Also after that I realised if it is raining maybe I could have asked a buggy to send me to my room up the hill a little. Breakfast is a sumptuous buffet spread with good view and sunlight. If you can have more time there, it is good as you can eat more and slowly :) It was strange that when I went out for a short afternoon walk, someone came to do room service right after I checked in 30mins before.. Made me feel weird. Other than that, location of the resort is good. There is a short cut to the mini Adams peak via helipad route, saves you a lot of walk. They do not provide money exchange.

Excellent stay at this fantastic resort.
98 Acres is a special property and we were so excited to stay here on our trip in Sri Lanka. The resort did not disappoint and I will always think back to our stay here with fond memories. The view from the rooms is breath taking and there is lots to do within walking distance (Little Adam's Peak and Ella Bridge) which is a bonus). The staff were great, especially in the restaurant. I hope to be back one day.

Beautiful location
The hotel and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is a bit above the center of town and view from the room is unbeatable. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed a cooking lesson from the chef which was fun.

wahnsinnslage mitten um Urwald, bitte premium oder executive suite nehmen (Alleinlage), personal enttäuschend, empfang ungenügend (keine Führung übers Gelände etc), kaum poolservice, bauarbeiten am pool, es lagen ungesicherte spitze werkzeuge auf dem gehweg von den Bauarbeiten,unbequeme und schmutzige liegen, einem Gast ins Gesicht zu sagen, dsss es am Pool nur erlaubt ist sich 1 Handtuch zu nehmen, grenzt in dieser Preisklasse an eine Unverschämtheit (200€ pro Nacht) zumal das Personal sogar zu faul ist,einem das Handtuch auf die Liege zu legen oder den Sonnenschirm aufzuspannen. Checkout enttäuschend (keine Kompensation für nicht funktionierendes Wlan im Zimmer während des kompletten Aufenthaltes) das Zimmer wird kontrolliert dass man nichts gestohlen hat (nicht wegen der MINI bar) KEIN guest relationmnager vor ort
