Affordable and exactly what I was looking for.

Amazing stay
Upfront, they do not speak English well, but they try so hard, and it shows. Absolutely amazing service, very kind people, and it's exactly what I was looking for in a stay. If I come up here again I'm definitely staying again. Each room has a key to lock it. Very close to all the shops in the area, and near the bus stations as well.

No complaints, very nice overall and friendly staff.

Our two main complaints are that other residents were arguing loudly with each other and the owners in the middle of the night and the owners did not know how to resolve the situation, and the parking. Be sure to read all signs and bring lots of money for parking. Also the staff doesn’t know much English.

Deceiving from outside.
The place was near China town Needed a code to get in. Lady could hardly speak English. We got the wrong room. I asked for 2 double beds and we got 1 double bed. She put us in 2 separate rooms. I hope she will not charge for 2 rooms. She thought I was going to go into people rooms. In the basement.there were no matching towels. No wash clothes. No telephone. No tv. Shampoo was not individual. Was big bottles. I won't stay there again.

Convenient and comfortable
Convenient location for our one night stay. Easy 20 minute walk to the Jays game and felt safe even late late at night returning from after game festivities. Easy check in and the owner even provided a free parking space despite ours being a one night only booking. Much appreciated!

Nice location. Super clean and friendly owners. Not ideal if you're looking for somewhere to stay for a night out but great otherwise. 10 for 10 would recommend

The room was nice enough, but the local area was sketchy, and there was a serious language barrier with the owners.

Located in a very "challenged" neighborhood in an area of very old row houses. Some completely dilapidated/boarded up, others refurbished a bit. . Many unsavory folks hanging about. Very difficult to find. It is not marked and there is no parking/stopping in front. When we arrived, the proprietor wouldn't answer the door (perhaps the neighborhood?) despite our ringing and knocking. We had to call our booking agent to reach her. Parking is around the corner, quite a way down an alley one would not venture (walk) into. At night, NOT enter at all. Just 4, tight, tandem parking spots. We didn't take our car out but I do see how one could easily be blocked in. Upon arrival, first thing, we had to take off our shoes and put on rubber slippers. Proprietor (Chinese) is friendly and gracious but speaks very English. We had #5 which is upstairs, right on the very busy, noisy street (all night). Had to drag suitcases up two sets of narrow, slick stairs. Beds are old, thin and creaky. Linens minimal. Our stay was 2 nights and thankfully only one other, of the 5 rooms, was booked. There is only 1 bath that we could see. Other guests were quiet and cordial but this could present quite a problem. We walked to the Blue Jay baseball stadium. It was dark when the game was over and we were glad that we made it back safely. There was a scuffle on the street and there are businesses (???) that one would have no idea of what is going on in them.

We didn't realise when booking, but we basically booked a room in someone's house. It was comfortable enough and the room was fine. We had a share bathroom. The hosts didn't speak a lot of English which made it a little difficult. They did offer parking around the back. We had to leave early in the morning and we were creeping around trying not to wake people up. OK for a one night stay on the cheap.
