Good B&B with helpful owner
This is a B&B, not a hotel and if you keep that in mind and don't expect luxury, you will be very happy with it, as we were. The room was a good size and generous breakfasts were included. The owner lives next door, which can be a little inconvenient if something doesn't work. On the other hand she was extremely helpful in cooking us food when we arrived after dark and didn't want to go out. She also arranged a very good tuk-tuk driver to take us all over the sacred city.

Gem of a hotel amongst ancient Buddhist gems :-)
You can't beat this hotel for affordability, location, and service. The hotel is located right in the middle of the ancient Anuradhapura ruins and is within walking and taxi distance to some great stupas and the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi Tree. The hostess was incomparable for her graciousness and generosity. I stayed for two nights and enjoyed two of the best complementary breakfasts I've ever had. The location is quiet due to its location in the heart of the ancient Buddhist ruins and is close to the lake. The room was comfortable and clean, with plenty of room for stretching out and reading a book or using your computer on the large table. Couldn't ask for more at such a reasonable price. Truly a gem!
